Frank T. Pelzer, 57, of Greensboro, died Thursday, May 21, 1979 in Monongalia General Hospital at
Morgantown, W. Va.
He was born March 18, 1922 in Greensboro, the son of Carrie Hayden Pelzer, who survives, and William
E. Pelzer.
He was a former mechanic with Duquesne Light Company in the Warwick Mine.
He was a World War II Veteran, having served with the U.S. Army and was past commander of VFW Post
No. 6303 at Greensboro. He was a member of UMWA 6310, Valley Lodge 459 F & AM of Masontown, Uniontown Lodge of Perfection, secretary-treasurer of Dunkard Valley Municipal Authority and Greensboro Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Emma White Pelzer; a daughter, Carrie E. Pelzer of Fairfax, Va.; a son, Freank E. Pelzer of Greensboro.
A brother, William D. Pelzer preceded him in death.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Pt. Marion with the Rev. Winfield S. Harding officiating. Burial will follow in the Greene County Memorial Park. (Waynesburg Republican, 8 June 1979)
