Amanda Lynn Whipkey, 19, of Carmichaels, Pa. and formerly of Waynesburg, Pa., died at 11:20 P.M. on Monday, December 29, 2014 as the result of an automobile accident on Route 21 in Khedive, Greene County, Pa.
She was born November 25, 1995 in Morgantown, W. Va., a daughter of Daniel Michael Whipkey and his wife, Jackie Rae Whipkey, of Carmichaels and Jackie Lynn (Dillinger) Gump and her husband, Richard Gump, of Waynesburg. Amanda attended West Greene schools and enjoyed animals, playing basketball and hula hoop and listening to music. She loved playing with her nephew, Tyler, and was free spirited, kind, loving and the "sunshine" when she entered a room.
Surviving in addition to her parents are a sister, Brittany Michelle Whipkey and her companion, Mike Kennedy, of Ambridge, Pa.; a brother, Daniel Michael Whipkey, Jr. of Waynesburg; her maternal grandmother, Judy Barb Ross and her husband, Frank David, of Greensboro, Pa.; her maternal grandfather, James Dillinger of Bobtown, Pa.; her paternal grandmother, Wilma Mae Whipkey of Glendale, Ariz.; her maternal great grandmother, Jean Dillinger of Dilliner, Pa.; step grandparents, John and Janet McFall of Washington, Pa.; three step sisters, Kaylie Smith and Cheyan Smith, both of Washington, Pa. and Erika Gump Dawson and her husband, Andrew, of the state of California; three step brothers, Richard Gump, Jr. of Waynesburg, Tyler Gump of Waynesburg and Ryan Dunn and his companion, Kristina Pagano, of Cleveland, Ohio; two uncles, Jimmy Dillinger and his wife, Nicole, of Norfolk, Va. and Cory Dillinger and his wife, Megan, of the state of Florida; two aunts, Beverly Whipkey Gayman and her husband, Jimmy, of Mather, Pa. and Tonya Nelson and her husband, Scotty, of Waynesburg; three nephews, Tyler Gump, Jr., Gavin Dunn and Luke Dawson; several great aunts, uncles and cousins, including Heidi Christopher and a beloved friend, Chris Walker.
Deceased is her paternal grandfather, Daniel Michael Whipkey, Sr. Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 P.M. on Friday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. on Saturday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 8:00 P. M. on Saturday, January 3, 2015 in the funeral home with the Rev. Bruce R. Judy officiating.
