Minutes of Barb Family reunion, 1929 at Union Church, near Morgantown, W. Va. :
Jacob came from Amsterdam. Germany on the ship "Two Brothers" and landed in Philadelphia in 1753. The first four generations used the BARB spelling. 125 years later some started to use BARBE (In records from 1905).
Jacob went to Shenandoah Co. Va. shortly after arriving
His sons Adam, Abraham, and Henry are buried in Shenandoah, Va.
Jacob is buried in Washington Co. Va. (Does this mean the son or the original Jacob?)

Daughter of German Nobleman this ay not be the correct woman. Baeb(e) had some papers that talked about Henry being the son of aCatherine Richter. Another net files his other wife as Mary Winegarden.
