In 1880 Census , living with Gideon and Sarah, his wife is Sarah Gapen , age 23 and her son Charles Gapen, age 2, both listed as Daughter-in-law and grandson??? Why Gapen??
I found Gideons birth in a Monogalia Co., WVA birth registry on WVa gen web. There was no WVA when he was born, so he probably was born in Shenandoah Co., Va. but I wonder if it was still the same spot.????
